Hello all, I'm a newbie here so bear with me. I have a 1995 Silverado pick-up and I'm having a bit of a problem. My radiator leaks around the upper oil cooling line. I disconnected the oil line and removed the nut that holds the fitting in the radiator. My question is how do I get the fitting out to change the o-ring on it. All info would be greatly apppreciated. Thank you, James

Welcome to AF on your first post.
What nut did you disconnect plastic or metal?
The one next to rad?
or a nut on end of cooler line?
Can you post a picture of it?
Is the oil coller line the push in type they call quick connect that takes a while to unplug unless you have the tool to do it?

Sorry for not responding earlier, the nut is the one that holds the oil cooler tight to the radiator. Apparently the o-ring had given out and I was trying to put new one into radiator over the fitting, to no avail, so as of now the o-ring is outside of radiator being held in place by tightened nut, I was told that it would be a waste of time and money to try to get it into radiator and that a new radiator would be needed. So I guess I'll wait til after first of the year to get it. Thanks for your reply, James

No problem on late reply.
Late is a lot better then never.
Yes you are probably fighting a lost cause.
But sometimes a band aid fix can help.
A good flat rubber and a good steel washer to fit the cooler pipe and some good permetex import gray silicone may help hold on it.
Good Luck
