Driver's side window - 06 Taurus

Hope you all may be able to help with another issues thats been driving me up a wall. My '06 Taurus is now on its third driver's side power window fix. Every single time, it seems like the front side of the window gets stuck somewhere in the track, causing the window to twist forward. This has resulted in two (probably three, we'll find out tomorrow) regulators broken. Is this a common issue with this generation of Taurus? Just learned about something called a "run channel" that I could see being the issue if it was missed, but this is now the third time! After two broken regulators and two weather stripping replacements (when the window was out of track, it would catch under and snap the exterior weather stripping at the top of the window channel), this has me ready to lose it. It seems like the front of the window keeps rolling up on the outside of the track right next to the side mirrors, causing the whole assembly to break. Guess I have two questions:
A) Is there any advice or experience you can provide that can help me get this thing fixed right this time (run channel, etc.) and
B) Is it hard to pop the window back into track if I see it starting to roll up on the wrong side of the track by the side mirror? I am mechanically inclined, I can get the door panel off, but it seems like Ford's windows are extremely hard to access, and I don't even want to bother if I can't guide the window back on to its correct track.
Thanks in advance for the help!

Do you Open and close the drivers side door with the window 1/2 way open?

I know I don't.... but as for my wife, I can't say. Its tough keeping a car in good working shape when you're not the only driver! I wouldn't doubt she does it all the time. I was just wondering if anyone knew of this being a common issue with Tauruses, or if I am just that lucky. Just got it fixed again today, cable snapped on the regulator and had to replace it. It may even be worth it for me to learn to repair that one myself.

Yeah, it probably would be worth it for you to do these. Generally window regulators are not too bad to replace. I've even gotten to the point where I've replaced them in the parking lot at work (usually take around 20-30 minutes). Although, like you mentioned, Ford has been getting trickier with how they hold door panels on. I couldn't find anyone to tell me how to remove the panel in my 2011 SHO, took me probably 1.5 hours just to get the door panel off (looking for a rattle that wasn't actually in the door).

I have seen bad window regulators plagued all makes and models.
If the window is 1/2 down during the closing of the door, the cable on the window regulator seems to bounce around and bind up.
The next time using the electric window something is going to break!
Caution - Always make sure the window is all the way up, or down.
