94 k1500 transmission

I have 94 k1500 that I rebuilt the motor. I pulled the frontpump seal and scared up the casing where the seal goes. I was wondering can I take tue front casing off a tran that come out of a 93 suburban? My trans has a m30 stamped on the side and I think they said the one out the sub is a 4l80e any help is appreciated.

You're talking about swapping the front pump assys. Yes, you can swap a 93 with a 94, they are the same transmission. The transmission is a 4L60E.
Now, when you go to pull this pump, YOU MUST remove the pan and remove the filter first AND the TCC lockup solenoid. The reason why is that both the filter and lockup solenoid mount directly up into the pump assy. If both of these are not removed, you will never get that pump to come out. Also, USE A PUMP PULLER. DO NOT pry on the pump and case or you will do more damage and the pump will leak.

A little bit of damage is not so bad. Yes you can swap the front pump assembly. They are pretty much the same pumps. As the Transman said. Make sure you remove the CC Solenoid and the filter. They go straight into the pump. The filter is obvious but the TCC solenoid is at the front of the vase held in by two 8mm - 10mm bolts right off the valave body. That is all you have to remove. And if you do not have pump puller, you can pry gently on the pump and the case to pop it loose. Also there is a orange rubber seal on the shaft. Make sure you remove it carefully so that you can reuse it. If you leave it on, it will be a pain to remove the pump.

ok so the 4l80e pump out of the suburban is the same as the 4l60e pump? and just to be sure all have to do is pull the solenoid and the filter and use the puller to get it out? Cause i read somewhere you had to pull the valve body. I havent done a whole lot of trans work but would like to do this to learn. I appreciate the help a lot. and do you know of anywhere i could get pics or a video of what i need to take off or remove. So i can get this done right i just rebuilt the motor and dont really have the money to buy another one or pay someone to do this. Thanks alot for the replies and help again

No, the 4L80E pump is different than the 4L60E pump. I originally thought you were talking about a 93-94 4L60E because on the 60E's the 93 and 94's are only interchangeable with each other. No, the valve body does not have to be removed to pull a pump on a 4L60E, just the pan, the lockup solenoid and the filter. Please do not pry on the pump to remove it. Use a puller, you can get one cheap just be very careful with the puller when placing it on the end of the turbine shaft, you will see a check ball capsule in the end of the shaft. Do not destroy this capsule, place a piece of flat metal on the end of the shaft so the puller does not make contact with the capsule and destroy it. If done carefully and properly, the pump should come out fairly easy.
