I hit a stop sign on a snow covered rod with my 2003 Envoy, how hard is it to replace the front bumper cover? Mine cracked near the driving light and marker light. Would like to do this myself to avoid having to turn it into my insurance.

They do not come painted number one, if you get under there you will see all the push pins holding it on, you may have damaged the impact absorber also. A body shop gets 2.5 hours to replace it plus the paint work.

I was only going about 5 mph, and the stop sign bent over. i think most of the damage is just cracked due to the cold weather. Is this an easy do it yourself thing? i can find someone to paint it when summer gets here, so I can live with black primed since the vehicle is charcoal gray anyway.
