First of all, this is a great site! I'm not quite sure why I haven't run across it before!
At any rate,
Were doing a clutch swap, and my helper accidentally broke the wires off this sensor. Nobody I've asked seems to know what it is exactly. I have a suspicion it's for the reverse lights, as you can feel it "switch" when you press the ball bearing end in, but I'm not completely sure. It is located towards the top of the xmission, not to far from the shifter. This is for an 01 Rodeo 2wd, 2.2L. I would be very appreciative for any help provided. Thanks!

Disregard. It's indeed the reverse light switch. $18. ouch. :)
