I have been a mechanic for 4 or 5 years so i guess im still wet behind the ears... haha I have been thinking of taking the ASE certs. But i deff need to learn some more before I fork out the money to take the tests considering my boss wont pay for them... Plus any ideas how to buff up on my diag skills? Max any help would be great!!!!!

There are study guides available online to take the tests, but diagnostics will require formal schooling coupled with hands on experience.

The tests are pretty easy, but I did take them after a 2 year course at a local school. If you've been doing this for 4 years, just do some reading and take a few practice tests and you should be fine.

Lots of information here, sensors in particular.

A quick google search popped up with this. Didn't look into it much, but it seems pretty useful for practice questions.
