I know it's not the Switch I changed the switch, and both are working fine. I changed the fuses. I'm 95% sure it's a short.
I have a diagram, and I noticed that there's a switch that connects to the Crusie Control as well.
A while back I had to place a push button start in because the ignition switch was shot, "It got stole awhile back." So I just place a push button start to just make sure I could start it when needed.
In the process of doing that I cut the crusie control wires cause I was going to use the cruise control switch for the push button, I didn't have the money for a real switch and the CC switch is a momentary.
So I'm wondering if doing so it messed up the connections between the lights and what shuts them off.
Mainly my brakes lights won't turn off, and one of my tail lights.
When I changed the BL switch the top brake light went off, but later came back on after trying to see if the pedal would turn them off.
Actualy I just remembered, it wouldn't turn on at all at first.:runaround:
So any ideas what I should try? I'm thinking I just need to bypass the CC wire? Just splice it and place the main together? MAybe the CC switch is stuck?
I read earlier that no one likes helping with a brake light kill switch, and I know why, lol. but at this point, I'm tired of unplugging my battery everytime I stop somewhere....
So yeah I'm just looking for some suggestions....

is it a 5 speed? I would check the 2nd switch on the clutch. Have you tried uninstalling the brake switch & playing with while it's still pulgged in?
this is an odd question. However, we've rebuilt many theft recoveries or show cars from ground up. I have a 12 volt brain around I can pick. I'm answering a lot of questions currently...if I somehow don't get back here to reply: personal message me! I will gladly assist you the best I can at tracing this.

A couple things you should check. First off you should check and see how far the plunger is adjusted to on the switch itself. sounds like it is too far out so it thinks it you have your foot on the brake all the time.
