Keyless Entry

Does anyone have the keyless entry remote programming procedure for a 2002 grand am? I noticed that Flatrater started to do a write up on it for the 2001 to 2004 models in the tips and maintenance section, but left it blank.

I've read at a few places that you don't have to. there is a procedure that the owner can do to program it.

They are incorrect. I've seen them as well. It requires a scan tool to program them. I believe 99-00 could be programmed manually.

can anyone confirm the tech2 is needed? I'm having the same issue. TY
