Hi, I'm going to college this summer and I want a car for daily use and maybe I'll run it at a road race track every now and then. I like the 93-97 Camaro or Firebird. I dont know which model to get. An i defently don't know which style(RS, Z28, Formula, Trans am, etc...) So if you can shed some light on this, and give me your opinion on the matter, that would help out. My budget is 8,000. Prefarably want to spend less than that. Also can you help me out with the different engines.
Thanks
Matt

I would say a '97 Trans Am, but it would be hard to find one of those for under 8K....I would stick with the Trans Ams though...

welcome to AF:)

I say go for a Camaro Z28. Good luck on finding one under that 8k cap.

Also, welcome to AF!!:flash:

i would also get a Trans-Am. just because they perform the best out of the other choices.

Camaro is bloody ugly, Firebird is beauty without being too outrageous......So Firebird

on second thought a Camaro is a sane choice........

I was watching American Muscle Car on SPDVN this morning, and it was a show on SLP Firebird Firehawks...they were pretty nice looking. I would go for a '93-'95 Firehawk. They can have anywhere from 315 to 450hp, and can be had for under 10K.

Remember, get an insurance quote first!! It will be around 4-6 grand a year:eek: So I'm looking at MR2's and Eagle Talon TSi AWD's. They are good to, and you would have some mod-moeny left:)
