I dont get it... why is seeing S13 SILVIA headlamps on a Honda is a BAD thing? Those headlights are so crappy, they are dual projector halogen headlamps -- there isnt ONE thing special about them. Atleast they arent S15 HID headlamps, atleast those are worth money AND more memorable. Those old dingy S13 headlamps are creations of the '90's, lights did not define cars nearly as much as they do nowadays. Plus, its not like those projectors are even that great quality.. they are old-school and do not compare to any of the lights nowadays.

Taking those lamps and putting it on your Honda just shows bad judgement.

I went to a local gasoline station to buy some 12 packs of Coca-Cola and on the magazine stand I saw a magazine called "DRIFTING!"
Inside are pics of sileightymanias car,nadine's,JDM RICE,yellow silvia from J-Spec.com and some others.

Our beloved 240sx is all exposed like it was a POS civic!Mods you can do blah blah blah...

I caught that picture also. At first i thought it was a real S13 all gayed out with a custom molded innefective body kit. But now that I took another look I noticed the little hatchback trunk open. Thats a shame.

ghostchild - there was already a thread about the Drifting magazine in this forum i think...i dunno. anyways, Benson proof-read it and helped to write some of the articles...so i'm not TOO worried about it...besides that Civic article (which is just bullshit), it doesn't look TOO bad...according to Benson, the only thing Import Racer had to do with the magazine was the funding. they apparently got a whole new bunch of guys who are knowledgable, "hardcore" drift guys (like him) to write the mag. i've been looking for an issue to see what it's like, but no-one up here carries it yet.

on another note, drifting IS going big and it's a shame to see. i went to the mag store the other day, and 5 out of the 7 import mags on the shelf had the word "drift" or "drifting" on the cover somewhere. Modified Mag had a 1415 240SX on the cover that looked more like a So-Cal show-car then a real drifter, Turbo had a fairly nice cherry red S14 on the cover, SCC has Feast Racing Garage's super-nice R32, and SS has the Yashio S15, Ueno's JZZ30 Soarer, and the GReddy TT 350Z. that didn't really bother me much...the one thing that DID bother me though, was in HCI, when the asshole writing the article on drifting stated that "it's the new undiscovered import craze. as it's so far relativley unheard of in North America, there's alot of money to be made from it."

FUCK YOU!!! we drift for fun, NOT to support ricey companies who are looking to make a quick buck on the latest "trend". sure, we spend alot of money on Tein's and Advan wheels and JDM engines, but all that money is going to worthy companies, and those parts are WORTH the money because they actually do their job WELL! i never got into drifting and JDM because it was "cool" and "trendy". i got into it because the cars are incredible, the skill is immense, it's fun and the community is hardcore. there was no fucking around. now, fucking rice companies are going to try and pounce on this market and make as much money as possible just because they can, not because they want to help the community...it saddens me.

Its because all of the new companies who try to follow the new trends are all sell-outs. They are going to ruin drifting in North America if you ask me.

I live in the East Coast and have heard that it may eventually expand overhere, but when it does I bet everyone here is going to buy their Corollas and 240SXs and put all of the ricey-american-made parts from these new sell-out poser companies on their cars.

That is just my opinion. But I predict that drifting in North America is going to be taken the wrong way (by people who are trying to be cool by buying the new crap parts), and drifting is going to be ruined in North America.
