After admiring the work here for a while I decided to post my latest WIP; the Fujimi 1/24 Ferrari 430 Scuderia. Enjoy!

After the photos were taken the build has progressed to final assembly.
I used some after market stuff on this kit (for the first time in my career...):
Scale Motorsport carbon fiber decals
Fujimi photo etch
Acu Stion photo etch
Acu Stion decals
A+ Club exhaust pipes

41105

Thanks. I saw the car (scale 1:1...) the first time at the IAA show in Frankfurt 2007 where one of the displayed cars was this blue.
Decided to build a car just like it if a kit ever was released of it

Looks good, I really like the wheel colour/caliper colour/body colour combo.
I would (and did, actually) fill that Ferrari script on the caliper faces and use proper "Ferrari Brembo Carbon Ceramic" decals on there. But that's only important for someone who likes brakes as much as i do :)
Did the stripe decals go on OK for you? Mine were brittle and a lot of headache, all in all I had to use the decals from three different kits to get a reasonable (not perfect) result.

Brake discs look good, like carbon ceramic! What paint did you use?

I think I used two different Tamiya colors.
XF-56 Metallic Grey mixed with just a hint of XF-16 Flat Aluminium for the base of the disc, the standard plastic part.
Then X-10 Gun Metal for the photoetched outer layer.
So I painted both parts individually then glued them together. After that the brighter part painted in XF-56 only shines through the drilled holes of the disc. Worked out pretty well.

The stripe decals were not easy to apply, I tell you that. Only used up one set in the end, but it was a close call. The aftermarket decals seemed to have a better surface than the Fujimi ones, that saved me I guess.
