1986 Cutlass Wont Turn Over

The car was driving down the highway just fine. Then it started to lose power like it was starving for fuel. Lifted off the throttle then rolled back on. It powered up again and started to cruise along like normal. Then it gradually lost power. It died as it came to a stop on the side of the highway.

There were no warning lights or chimes. The service engine soon light did not come on. It was just dead. When I tried to start it again it turned over really lazy like the battery was dead. I tried to jump it but that didn't do anything. I trailered the car home and now it wont turn over at all. I put a fresh battery in it and nothing.

When I try to turn it over the starter starts to engage but wont turn the engine at all. The oil level was good and so was the coolant. I drained the oil out and there weren't any chunks of metal in there.

I am stumped. :banghead:

Welcome to AF. Pull the plugs, get a wrench on the crank pulley and try to turn the engine by hand, no mention of what engine though. Sounds like it seized.
