Okay so here is whats going on when I go and start my 96 grand voyager in the morning I goto put it into revers it backs up for a few feet then just stops moving. Then I goto put it into drive it dose nothing until I give it some gas then it engages and starts going but then after about a mile or so it'll do it again. But here is the weird part if I let the engine warm up it works like there is nothing wrong. It started this problem after we had some cold weather where the temps got into the low teens. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Change the fluid and filter... Use only atf+4 fluid and more importantly a new filter to boost pressure......
The ATF+4 fluid is full synthetic and will help condition the seals as well (also help increase pressure)...

Also, this requires removal of the valve body, but if it persists, you probably have a low/reverse accumulator ring and/or the low/reverse accumulator cover seal that is wearing out... I have changed them before on the car with much success... I have installed an updated low/reverse accumulator cover (with built in lip seal) that is on all of those transmissions from 2004 and up... It also pays changing all the accumulator rings for all 4 accumulators when you're in there...
I may not be able to help for a week again, because I am going to California (driving there)...
Hope that helps...

Thanks for the info mikefaster I guess I frogot to mention that we had the trany rebuilt about a year ago not sure if this has any bearing on the problem.

I'm leaving as we speak, but, you're lucky if anyone does anything "the right way" anymore, anyway... It may just need a tranny tune up; fluid and filter...

Agreed. First step in just about any tranny issue next to checking fluid level is to change the fluid and filter. Gives you a chance to check for debrie in the pan. Anything more than fuzz on the magnets warrants at least a look by the pros and a probable rebuild.

58 hours and about 5 hours of sleep... I'm surely not as chipper as I was when I drive to Los Angeles 5 years ago... Gettin' old at 36, lol...
Find anything in the pan?
