Richard Pryor - one of the funnies men ever
George Carlin - his early work is a riot. He's just a bitter old man now.
John Cleese - as part of Monty Python he ruled
Bill Murray - gone down hill
Robin Williams - can't act for shit
Bill Hicks - Who?
Eddie Murphy - also gone down hill
Chris Rock - blah
Mike Myers - more blah
Jim Carrey - eh
Steve Martin - great movies

Richard Pryor - dont know him offhand
George Carlin - dont know him offhand
John Cleese - crazy guy, pretty funny
Bill Murray - hes got a fro, right? meh. pretty much sums it up.
Robin Williams - great all around actor, and very funny.
Bill Hicks - dont know him offhand
Eddie Murphy - funny when you dont feel like thinking
Chris Rock - pretty funny, great standup to
Mike Myers - funny in a weird way;go british humour!
Jim Carrey - a lil bit odd, but, has his moments.
Steve Martin - very funny

Richard Pryor - i agree one of the funniest men ever , sad about his illness
George Carlin - funny and doesnt bullshit anyone. The best in disgruntled white comedy.
John Cleese - who ?
Bill Murray - he's ok , not really funny unless you put him with less funny people
Robin Williams - he is a great charachter actor , hes funny and creepy all at the same time.
Bill Hicks - huh ?
Eddie Murphy - my favorite black comedian of all time and he is king of the cop comedy !!
Chris Rock - hilarious also , hes funniest when paired with white guys for some reason
Mike Myers - waynes world and austin powers , thats it !! hes good at acting like a moron , stick with it.
Jim Carrey - my favorite currently , he is good at acting like a moron as well , but he also is a believable moron lol.
Steve Martin - great actor , wish I had seen more of his stuff

Pryor - hilarious
Carlin - fucking hilarious
Cleese - a riot most times, especially in Python and Fawlty Towers.
Murray - just dumb nowadays.
Williams - has had some funny moments...
Hicks - don't know who he is.
Murphy - had his moments.
Rock - funny as hell most of the time
Myers - fantastic on SNL and in the Powers movies.
Carrey - most of his work (Ventura especially) is a riot. going to see Bruce Almighty this Friday, and hoping it won't let me down.
Martin - has done some very funny stuff, but haven't heard much from him recently besides the movie with Queen Latifah which i never plan to see.

The man is a GOD.He's just spent the summer at my place[taranaki] filming a movie with Tom Cruise.Some of the legends that are circulating in this town just blow your mind.




Richard Pryor- was good[wrote most of Blazing Saddles for mel brooks]
George Carlin - never liked him,daft old coot.
John Cleese - has faded badly.Fawlty Towers hasn't aged that well.
Bill Murray -liked him in Stripes and Groundhog Day,that's all.
Robin Williams-nothing good since Good Morning Vietnam,and only parts of that.

All of these guys are great comedians. Those of you who don't think Robin Williams can act haven't seen any of his good movies. Except for Bill Hicks (who's dead), they're all still hysterical in their own way.

Billy Connelly should be on any list of great modern comedians. If you don't know who he is, look him up somewhere (he's done some great stand up for HBO and was the teacher who replaced Howard Hessman on the American TV series "Head of the Class").

Mike Meyers has made some great movies were he wasn't playing a fool. Check "So I Married an Ax Murderer." By the way, he's Canadian, not British.

Great comedians missing: Denis Leary, Eddie Izzard, Anthony Clark (just off the top of my head).

i'm surprised how many people dislike bill murray. anyone ever seen caddyshack or scrooged? i love the guy

And Billy Connolly is a fucking genius, one of the funniest men ever.
