i just got my '89 chevy corsica. it was $900. just about everything in it works. it runs great. so what can i do to make it go a little faster without spending too much money?

Not sure I would worry about that stuff but if you have a v6, say a 3.1 you can add a cold air intake, tune it up, change fuel filter, it should be decent. You could always add larger exhaust and even nitrous but I would not do the nitrous on an older car. If you have a 4 cylinder....really not much besides a tune up as anything else would not be worth the money. Might instead be sure to save some money for common repairs, make sure your tires and brakes are up to par and things like that. These are great cars and dependable however they do tend to go through alternators every 2-3 years.

my brother andlaw just had to put new timing chain in it same year also and it's the 4 cylinder well the girl lied to him after he had that done they started it and it had a crack head there was zero pressure on number 3 so what i'm saying shut it down rite away if it over heats. other than that it is a good car until she gets it hot again. also keep checking your oil to see if it burns oil as my daughter had one and it drank oil. but i agree with jsgold.
