Hey Guys-Happy Thanksgiving!
Just a product I have been pleased about for years. K+N
air filter for our 95 3.8 TS. The cleaning kit works great and they
updated the oiling for the filter with a spray can. I got more than
a little p.......d years ago,when I went to a reputable oil change place, and
found out at a trans shop that our air filter was black. They were too lazy to
even look at it. Supposed to be checked. Last time I had my oil changed and
air filter serviced. I have been using the K+N filter on my 2000 GTX since new as well. (TIP= never spray 150hp nitrous shot if ignition is not 100%!= broke supercharger belt and started K+N filter on fire with backfire. ;-) cheers KEV

I misplaced my K&N for my Van.... Not happy about it either... Thats 2 of them I misplaced... I cleaned it and set it aside to dry to that I could re oil... I have lost track of the filter, and that Cam wants everything it can get...LMAO... So I guess I have to break down and buy a new one...lol
The 95 Bonneville also has a K&N, the 03 Bonneville also has a K&N...lol

Hey Jrs3800= I wash mine..whip it around with my arm to get most of the water out...oil it and install......quick and painless.
Now about the easy out my friend snapped off into the rusted threads of my thermostat housing in the lower intake manifold...grrrrrrh! Still have to get that out on Sunday!!! Heli:shakeheadcoil it and JB-weld the butchered area I guess.....KEV

I used to swear by K&N, I still have a couple of them in some vehicles. But I got somewhat disillusioned with them because the do not actually filter air very well. I tried putting a thin layer of grease on a couple of choke blades after cleaning and re-oiling the filter.
The grease would accumulate a considerable amount of fine dust and dirt over a month or so. This did not happen with a quality paper air filter........ so the K&N was allowing some dirt to pass through into the engine.
These days I prefer paper for the daily drivers, but my rarely-driven Supra gets to keep its K&N.
