Humbrol clear paints

What are they? They don't smell like acrylics and they dry too fast for enamels (don't smell like those either). I use them and am very satisfied with the results, but I'm curious as to what they are in their essence. Anyone in the know?

I use them and I laso have very good results...
Dunno what kind of paint they are though...propably enamel...

Doesn't it say on the tin?

It's possible they're quick drying enamel......

Nope. They call it "clear paint". They also suggest cleaning brushes with cellulose thinner.

I've never heard of such paints. The only thing that is thinned with cellulose thinner is automotive 3-component paint (well, it can thin pretty much everything, but this paint can only be thinned by it afaik) and this is obviously not a 3-component paint. So I'm still at a loss.

Interesting Alex, never seen those type of paints. The Humbrol clear coats I have definitely smell like enamel, the jar says to thin with white spirit.
