2006 equinox cruise won't work

I have a 2006 equinox awd. my cruise control just quit working. It works one day and nothing the next, now nothing. The light comes on when you press the button on the left side steering wheel. Nothing happens when you press the set button on the right steering wheel. Fuse in the cabin fuse box is ok, I've also replaced the whole switch on the right side. still nothing. I have a manual and it says there is a fuse in the under hood fuse box but i can't find one? There are no check engine lights for any sensors. any help would be appreciated.
