I replaced the lower intake gasket on my 96 Blazer. I reconnected everything the way it was, I have the rotor in the correct spot{I think}, and it will crank, but not try to fire. I also noticed that distibutor cap does not stay on tight, but nothing broken there. Also, the fuel inlet does not want to seat into position. I don't know what else to do. I can't afford to take it to a shop. Please someone help. Thank you.

I'd start with what you know to be wrong/out of whack. Check to make sure the rotor is in the correct spot and not 180 degrees off. Timing has to be on. The distributor cap must fit snug, otherwise how will the rotor contact the points to make spark. I'm wondering why the fuel inlet isn't lining up, need fuel to crank. Just keep trying, but if you have to force something, then it isn't right.
Once you know it is together right, then you can go back to the basics of troubleshooting when not getting spark. Check/replace plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil(s) etc.
Hope this helps.
