Is it a good idea to "clean" O2 sensors ( their out cause of cat conv. removal) or will the spray cleaner ruin them?

I cleaned my rear o2 sensor awhile back with Gumout carb cleaner. It states on the can it's safe for o2 sensors.

Usually there is no need to clean an O2 sensors. I would leave them as they are or just replace them with new ones. The book calls for them to be replaced every 80-100k miles. I have 110k on mine and new ones are sitting on my work bench. I am just waiting to fix an oil burning problem or replace the engine so I don't contaminate a brand new set with oil.

Yea, i gotcha! I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't hurt em. They prob need to be replaced anyway! Thanks all for the "come back".
