hello, to everyone!
i am planning on building a model of my fathers car, a 1988 Ferrari 3.2 Mondial Cabriolet. until Hotwheels came on the scene, the chances of finding a model of ANY Mondial was almost inconceivable. the )Mondial was not a very popular model, even in 1:1. i as overjoyed when i found out that hotwheels had come out with a Mondial 8, the predecessor to the 3.2, but then noticed that they had made it as a coupe, not as a cabrio. now that the 3.2 model has come out(alas, with the roof still fitted on tightly), i decided that for at least one model, that would all change.
my plan is simple; find a hotwheels elite Ferrari Mondial 3.2, get some leather from the craft store, get the dremel and cue the music. if anyone has any tips on how to remove the roof with the dremel, it would be much obliged. oh, and if anybody has any tips about disassembling it, that would be nice too. my goal is to be able to present the finished model to him by his 20th anniversary of when he got the car, in July1991. for those people who aren't math majors, thats july 2011.
i commend all of those who actually read those 2 long paragraphs, but ifyou didn't, this mostly sums it up. i want to cut the roof off of a diecast car.

i should be recieving the car any day now and be able to get started....
