Hi all just wondering if anybody could help me out.
I have a brake assessment tomorrow and have to answer a question and am clueless on the answer.
heres the question
What type of brake fluid is used on a vehicle with green colour coding on the master cylinder reservoir
Just spent an hour on google with no luck.
Would be massively appreciated if somebody could help out.

What vehicle are we talking about?
Check the owners manual to determine what type of brake fluid to use(IE: Dot 3, Dot 4).
The green marking is probably meant to help you locate the master cylinder not to specify what type of fluid to use. Just like the oil dipsticks are usually yellow.

That's probably correct. According to this article (http://www.v8register.net/articles/Brake%20fluids%20article%20R5%20Bob%20Owen%2023010 9.pdf) on page 3 (found through Google), "Note that a third category of brake fluids exists – mineral fluids. These are used in some Citroens, Rolls Royces, Audis and Jaguars. These systems use pressurised oils in systems that have no SBR compounds. These fluids are coloured green."

Well I took the test and passed (phew) but was aloud to get 4 questions wrong. Unfortunately I dont get told which ones I did get wrong/right.
Still thinking that mineral sounds right but dont recall seeing any green markings on the citroens LHM tanks.
Just wondering though if anybody has seen a green brake fluid resivoir cap. Maybe that means the same thing. Im curious now even though the test has been done.
