Hello,
I have an '01 SS with just under 170k on it. I need it to last to Feb of 11. Below is a list of repairs my shop has just informed me about, but I don't think I need to do them all. Which ones would you do?
fuel pressure regulator (leaks)
vacuum connector on regulator cracked
leak on top of exhaust resonator
cv boot leak drivers side (I caught this because grease is sprayed)
tie rod end (drivers side, 1/2" of play)
The fuel pressure reg is giving me a hard start, so I will fix that. Vacuum connector I might have to get from dealer but should be easy/cheap hopefully.
Resonator I can probably ignore, hey?
What about the CV boot and tie rod end?
Thanks!

Tier rod is a safety issue fix this for sure, the boot/axle should hold up but if you hear clicking on sharp turns, axle failure is imminent.

Thanks for the input!
I had the shop do the tie rod end because then he could line everything up where I probably couldn't in my garage.
Ordered the vacuum tube from the dealer, $28 bucks, and I'll pick up a fuel PR tomorrow for $46. I won't worry about the exhaust, but I'll take it in to CV Pros here in Madison. $99 bucks for boots in an hour.
