Will the front driver's seat from a 1999 Blazer fit and swap into my 1997 GMC Jimmy?

Will the base bracket line up and bolt in? Will the wiring need retrofitted?

anyone done this?

THey should, although the seat fabric pattern from a chevy to gmc will most likely be different.

I have a '97 and an '01 Blazer, I'd be skeptical of a direct swap.
Both of mine are 2-doors. Usually, 95-97s are identical, while 98-'01 are similar.
The seat size changed on the '01. It's much taller, and somewhat wider on the '01. This could be a problem if you have a center console with shifter in either unit. The tilt mechanisms are different too. Can't say about the tracks, as the '97 is sitting at my daughter's house right now, so I can't compare.
I might look at it tomorrow evening when I'm over there.

Looking at ebay, the guys selling seats say 98-05 on what they are selling using the interchange book, so I guess it won't fit.
