That is looking very nice! I like the color, and nice touch on the wheels! It's kinda funny, I just found one of these on evil-Bay (haven't received it yet) and now everyone is building these, after I bought mine! Well not everyone, but this is second on AF after I bought mine... I've wanted to build one since I saw Osamu's build (big up Kunta). :D

wheres the distributor on this car

on the old turbo four, the distributor sat underneath the intakes (pretty much underneath the carbs) on the top facing side (engine is at an angle remember) of the engine.
In relation to the car, it is pretty much smack bang in the centre of the engine bay.

I'll go dig out a photo if you need one.

two disclaimers.

This is of the 907 engine of which there were 3 versions of so I can't guarantee the accuracy of this vs what was used in the Esprit, especially UK vs US models.
Of course, this only matters if you're bothered about the accuracy.

You'll have to note that the distributor isn't shown connected to the coil pack.
I couldn't find a good/reliable shot of where the coil.

i would honestly punch someone at lotus for where they stuck that distributor at, thanks it helps alot accuracy isnt my thing i just wanted to know where it was so i can run the plug wires to i never detail past plug wires.

time for the surgical post, its been noted that this car sits really high at the rear when finished you can blame that on revellfor sure. since im about lowered car the whole thing is gonna be low.

ive had fit issues with this car before so im well aware of where to deal with it i cut the recessed transmission lump out and shaved where the shock tower is gonna mount.
reason being is if it hits it will only add to the ride height problem, im gonna cover the hole later

good measure if you shave the shock tower too its up to you if you wanna repaint it.
http://imgur.com/UarXm.jpg

i did a quick test fit and it slightly lowered it but still too high

i cut the shocks out of the shock tower, these will be mounted last after theyre modified
http://imgur.com/vy8hw.jpg

time for the spindles i lengthened them since i wasnt sure about the drop i wanted better longer than too short and be right back where i started.
http://imgur.com/Qh9KF.jpg
see the dots on the styrene thats the corrected height since im going for a full drop ill be cutting above it.

http://imgur.com/GGkIh.jpg

here it is after a dry mock up. if you cut at the dots you should have a 2mm gap on the fenders i dont because i like my cars super low

Very nice progress. I seriously love the car and I love your wheels. You're still planning to take care of that orange peel on the body, right?

im not phased by it plus its candy paint, color sanding will ruin it plus the urethane i use makes it go away.

you really dont have to if youre going for factory stock i did by chopping the bosses and gluing the wheels further up. the rear is the big problem.
