2003 Alero brake noise? Pleez help!

Just got new front pads and rotors put on 2,000 miles ago. Every time I hit the brakes there is a lot of squealing, creaking, and crackling noises, every time! I don't now if it's the calipers crackling/creaking when they engage or what. It is driving me nuts. I don't have a lot of time to schedule an appt. for them to get looked at because my work is 40 miles away. There is no shimmying or pulsating so I do think the pads and rotors are good. Everything is just so noisy every time I use the brakes. Please help!

What brand disc pads and rotors were installed?

Not exactly sure at the moment. My daughter has the car. Everything is in the glove box. We bought the car used, obviously, at a Chevrolet dealership. They installed the new pads and rotors before we bought it. Not sure what brand they generally use...

Hard to say with GM dealerships but they typically use AC Delco replacement brake components but that doesn't mean the brakes won't make noise or the brake job was done properly. Check to see what rotors and pads they used by GM part number or if an aftermarket brand was used. Personally I'd take it back and have them check it out under any warranty on parts or labor since the work was recent.

I am definitely getting it scheduled to get looked at. Something is obviously wrong. Just wonder what it is for sure. Thank you.
