Hello!
This is my first post on this forum :) My name is Tomasz and I'm from Poznan, Poland. I build cars and bikes from about 3 years.

Now I'm working on Tamiya's Hayabusa. I'm going to add some extras to the kit:
- Crazy Modeler photoethed set (disk brakes, radiator mesh, chain with sporcktes etc.)
- aluminium valves
- screws and nuts from T2M
- silver/blue Zero Paints (box art picture)

Kit:
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/Obraz003.jpg

I'm waiting for extras I bought from Hiroboy :)

I started with "chrome" and body parts:
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/Obraz005.jpg
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/Obraz009-1.jpg

Engine. I glued and sanded the main parts. I also remodeled the starter using 6mm aluminium tube and thin round profiles. Now it looks more reality. Also I drilled some holes for T2M screws.

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/IMG_0644.jpg

I cuted plastic hoses from a water pump to replace them made from soldering wire.
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/IMG_0641.jpg
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/IMG_0642.jpg

I grinded front of the frame to add new polistyrene parts to the head tube.

Looks promising, any progress?

Yes, but a little :)

I started working with fairings and cowlings. First I applied grey primer (Guzne Surfacer - 2 coats). Then I painted gloss black (Gaia) overall as a base for silver (Zero). After that the rear fairing and fender I coverd with blue - also Zero.
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/Obraz077.jpg
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/Obraz079.jpg

After paints dried I covered all parts with gloss lacquer (Gaia of coure :)). I pasted masks and applied blue again.

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/Obraz089-1.jpg

I separated radiators and add some potoetched mesh and hangers/brackets? :uhoh: made by myself.

Replaced rear suspension spring - with correct coils - made from 0,7mm wire.

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/Obraz.jpg

A little upgraded throttle body...

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/Obraz131-2.jpg

... now is put on the engine... I added some hoses and wires and replaced all the screws/nuts (T2M).

Here's a little update

I made a license plate holder from a 0,2mm brass sheet:

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/fotki102.jpg
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/fotki104.jpg

I'll replace these screws by T2M with allen trapered rivets.

I've also decided to add lights to the bike - front, rear and turn lights. I'm gonna use this stuff:

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/Obraz091.jpg
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/Obraz093-1.jpg
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/Obraz092.jpg

For turnlights I use SMD diodes (the middle one).

So I prepared parts for it:

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/Obraz138.jpg
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/Obraz141-1.jpg

I'm also working with chain and sprockets... there're a lot of work to do... many (I think over 120) links to remove from PE spure and then put on the chian :crying:

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/Obraz137-1.jpg

I've almost finished fairings and cowls.

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/Obraz158.jpg

I have to sand them with 4000/6000 Micromesh paper and then overcoat once again.

Which one should I choose???

I made the mufflers.

First, I prepared original parts to add photoetched and some screws:
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/fotki120.jpg

Then I sprayed primer (Gunze's surfacer):
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/Obraz156.jpg

...and gloss black as a base for CF and Alclad:
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/cannondaler/Obraz163.jpg

Now, the mufflers are almost ready. I'm gonna also use some extra exhaust logos (T2M) - I'm waiting for them from Hiroboy :)
