2008 Escape Driver's side door window

Bought this truck new and so far I'm very pleased and there's been very few problems. My problem with the window is when lowering and raising it usually makes an awful screeching noise and the gasket between the window and door nearest to the B-pillar is getting pulled down into the door. If the window is wet then the noise is less or non-existent and the friction between the window and gasket is reduced.
What I'm wondering is what lubricant could I use there that would stay in place and not make a mess by getting on my shirt???

TIA

That '08 should be under warranty.

I wouldn't lube it. Instead, bring it back to the dealer and have them replace the window seal.

Having the extra drag will only cause the motor to work harder, you might eventually burn it out.

I use Rain X on glass that needs a treatment. I would try some on the window to reduce the noise and friction. Works on wipers.

I have this same issue also, but on my '01. I haven't seen anything wrong with the seals, but when its cold out, the squeal gets real bad. Please post back when you figure out what it is.
Thanks!
