I just picked up this at a sale a week ago for $65 US. The re-issues are nice because they have new shiny and very white decals compared to the originals. Anybody here ever built this, any gripes, problems or complaints about it. It looks like a great kit of a classic F1 Ferrari. I am looking forward to building it.

Hi. I also have a Tamiya 1:12 scale Formula One car. It's not a Ferrari 312, but a Tyrell P34 Six-Wheeler F1 car. Actually, I have 2 of them. One is the original issue I got from a friend but has some parts missing already. The other one is a re-issue which I bought brand new around 2 years ago. I haven't attempted to start this project as reading the manual alone intimidates me. The details are so stupendous that it will take a very long time to complete. Although I plan to start it sometime this year. If you're interested, I can send you some pics of the kit. BTW, congratulations on the beautiful kit that you got. Damn, I wish I had one of those too. Good luck on that project! :sun:

Yep, I built it when it originally came out years ago.:D
Wish I had Cyano glue back then!!
No real gripes, a JOY to build. The only real advice I can give is just make sure the FI lines and Ingition wires aren't too high, as the engine/cockpit cover fit is very tight.
Mine is in the showcase of my old Honda dealer back in Vermont.
I traded it for 2 years of free oil changes. :D

Looking forward to your build.
I found that the top cover cannot cover the the whole body, still can't figure out how.:(
