Problem when downshifting

Hi I have a 97 Tracker 4x4 auto.117000 miles. Runs good and shifts good through all gears. Problem is when I slow down There is a clunk when I almost come to a stop. Is the transmission going bad? Pretty sure its when its downshifting from 2nd to 1st.
