2000 Alero 3.4 litre - hard start cold

I have lately been having problems starting the engine when it is cold. I crank it a few times and then it finally starts. It starts fine when the engine is hot.

I recently had the starter replaced and had the fuel pump and filter replaced just under a year ago.

Any ideas?

Does it turn over slow, or will it turn over fine just and not start?

I would check fuel pressure, make sure it doesn't bleed off immediatly. Then pull the vacuum line off the pressure regulator and check for fuel contamination.

Have you ever had your IAC motor out and cleaned it?
