Just wanted to know if anybody else has encountered the same problem I have. I took out my airbag in the passenger dash and pulled out all the wiring going to it and the one in the steering wheel. Now my cruise control and horn both dont work. Just wonderin if anybody would know why.

i try not to mess with that stuff . Airbags are my "no go" zone.

if you took out the drivers airbag did you remove the wiring to the bag that runs up the column? there is a cable reel that has both the airbag wires the horn wires and the cruise control wires running through it if you took the wheel off and removed the reel then they won't work.

I didnt remove the reel but i removed all the wiring. i still have the stock airbag and the wheel there.

all the wiring from the reel or just the wires in the yellow loom? And if you don't mind me asking what was the point of removing the air bag harness's but leaving the bag still in the wheel.

Just the wiring in the yellow loom. By the way i'm short and airbags kinda scare me. they deploy at 200 mph. seems to me that if i was too close to the wheel that could hurt a lil bit.

Ok I think I got it, On the cable reel there a six pin connector and all 6 of the wires are grey they may also be wraped in yellow tap the problem is that three of the wires are for the horn and the cruise control. basically when you hit the horn button the one side of the switch is grounded to the wheel behind the bag , the ground goes through the switch through the cable reel and then one of the 6 grey wires go to the fuse box which activates the relay so if you took the wire harness that is yellow off of the cable reel then you basically disconnected the cruis and the horn.
