I bought a 92 Park Ave for 500 bucks. The car had no heat and the people told me they removed and bypassed the heater core. Could I buy a new heater core, install it and have it heat again. Could it be that simple or could there be something more complicated. Any Help is greatly appreciated.

yes you can put a new heater core in it but you have to take the dash all apart to get to it on passenger side. i'm just wandering if its the same guy that sold it to you that i told him to bypass heater core? did you hear about the p/a on this site?

The entire dash does not have to be removed. The same core was used from 1987-1998. I changed mine through the opening for the glove box once the glove box was removed:

The most difficult part was access to the hoses in the engine compartment, and even that wasn't terrible.

I finally got the heater core in the PA. It was a bit tricky to install and get the plumbing in. When i unscrewed the old one it basically fell out of the housing. Thanks Guys for all of your help. I love Heat
