Steering Pump noisy

Hello i have a intermittent problem on my CV96, sometimes the power steering pump start to be noisy and the steering is harder to turn, is there something to do else then replacing the pump ?

You might try changing the fluid. I assume these still call for automatic transmission fluid. Someone may have used the thinner stuff labeled POWER STEERING FLUID. At any rate, I would try changing the fluid using what's called for in the owner's manual.

Try flushing, and change fluid in the power steering with mercon ATF.
I would also try added some Lucas power steering treatment.
