Wouldn't the exhaust manifold from a four-cylinder boxer engine have TWO ports and a six cylinder would need THREE?

strangely the h-6 (subaru's 2.7 boxer 6) has only 4 exhaust ports for 6 cylanders

I thought the H-6 was a 3.0....at least the current one is.
I don't see how the H-6's manifold will fit the flat-4, the whole configuration would be different.
I will check it out though, for interest sake and let you know if I find otherwise.

The XT6 used a 2.7L H6, the SVX had a 3.3L H6, and the current Outback can be had with a 3.0L H6.

Thanks :)
Unfortunately, I have only had exposure to the full Subaru range since moving stateside, so am not familiar with all the older engines.....
Need to learn more :bandit:
