Torque Converter Bolt up

Working on a 2000 Astro. When bolting a new torque converter to the flex plate does it matter where the counter weights on the flex plate go?

I can see that they may balance the crank but if they balance the converter then they would have to be aligned with certain holes. The torque converter also has some balancing weights on it. In the Chiltons they say to mark the thing before you remove it but that doesn't work if you replace it.

A zero ballance is equally ballanced on all sides so that it doesn't matter which way it goes. Not sure why they say to mark it in that book but I use Mitchell books and I have never seen that step. I have reconnected or replaced hundreds of converters and never had a problem or a vibration and my ex boss was really strict on quality. Let us know how it goes.
