'61-63 Tempest

Just wondering if anybody on this forum has one, or had one; and would be willing to post some pics. I just love those 61s.

I have a 61 Tempest all original unrestored.It's a two door, I Just started to restore it. I had the engine rebuilt a few months back. Needs paint and interior but is a clean little car and gets a lot of attention. I just joined and will post pics when I figure out how.Do you own one?

i can't seem to find any knowledge about them at all
mine has the slant 4
and seems to be nearly all origonal

Mine has the slant 4 as well also known as the trophy 4. The trophy 4 is a 389 v8 cut in half to make a 194.5 . 3.2L . From what I understand the 61 tempest coupe was only made for about 5 months until switching to the 62 models.Making the 61 coupe a rare car . In 1961 the pontiac tempest was Car and Driver's Car of the year for its unique chassis design. I have done alot of research on theese cars and have talked to people that have owned them in the 60's and 70's and had nothing bad to say about them. If you have any specific questions let me know. i would be glad to help
