Jaguar D type Replicas

I am doing some research on factory approved replicas and have heard that the Jaguar factory authorized 2 "D" Types to be built.
Can anyone confirm or deny this.
Also is there a D Type fourm?

Actually the number I heard was 20 (Twenty) Cars.
