Vert back glass install question

I just got a new back window glass for my stang. I had the thing installed except for the fact that the new glass had a different size zipper than the original. The glass that I got had a replacement for the original zipper but I can't figure out how the piece connected to the actual top comes out or how to get a new one in. Any suggestions?
