Intermediate Jumping Auto Gears when Shifting

Thanks guys for any help as this is my first post.
I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lerado that will jump in and out of gears when it automatically shifts at around 30-35 mph. It is like it will jump up in a quick RPM burst or like someone pushing the peddle hard to give it extra gas before going into 2nd gear. It jumps and then comes off in about 5 seconds and goes into 2nd gear. This only happens after gassing from a dead stop or turning corners slowly and giving it some gas. Any help would be great and I have searched the forums for this problem and sure to have seen it but probably passed it. Thanks in advance.
