Wiring Dvc Subs

I need an answer, I have 2 Alpine MRV 757 amps, they push 400w @ 4ohms bridged and 200w @ 2ohms and 100w @ 4ohms per channel of course that 400w @ 4ohms is 1 speaker only being bridged and all. That is all RMS. I want to know if I have a 2 ohm DVC sub, would it be better to wire the 200W@ 2 ohms or 100w@ 4 ohms, or 400w by one voice coil. Which is the best for more base ..... I suppose the 200x2 @ 2ohms but they always say not to do anything below 4 ohms do to overheating/meltdown. I had the same amp 2 years ago and it worked fine on a SVC at 400w @ 4 ohms but now I have the DVC problem to deal with. The subs arn't here yet but they will be by the middle of next week. HELpppppp

A DVC sub has many ways to wire it. If the sub is Dual 4-ohm, then I believe the lowest you can wire it is to 2-ohms, so you should go with the 200 @ 2-ohm bridged. That's if you only have 1 sub. If you have 2 subs and they are Dual 4-ohm, you can wire each sub to 2-ohms and then bridge them to 1-ohm, but you can only do that if your amps can handle a 1-ohm load. If so, you can either bridge them and play 400 @ 1-ohm into 2 speakers giving you 200 wts per speaker, or if the amp only takes down to 2-ohms then you can wire each speaker to 2-ohms and put one per channel giving you 200 wts per speaker again, but when bridged it gives you a little extra thump on the harder beats.
