Removing crankshaft pulley

Greetings, and any help is appreciated.
How do I hold the crankshaft pulley from turning, to remove it's bolts ('92 1.6 L, automatic, sohc, storm.
Book says wedge screwdriver in ring gear, available through driveplate/flywheel access panel.
Cannot find this access panel on an automatic. Looked everywhere. Picture shows a manual trans. Am I blind? Any other way to hold this pully?
