I recently flipped my ford explorer but it worked afterwards for about 2 months with no sign or problem the truck would not start we found out it was not getting fuel so we changed the fuel pump and in_line fuel filter the truck will purge when key is put in but when u try to turn it over no fuel comes out of the line ....... i have also checked the inertia switch and it is pushed in like its supose to be ...... any ideas??????

Welcome to the forum!
The fuel pump should not be active just by putting the key in. It should run for about a second though when the key is turned to the Run position. It won't necessarily run when cranking the engine though.
Do you know how much fuel pressure you have? Did you observe the flow direction of the fuel filter when installing the new one? Have you tried spraying some throttle body cleaner in to the intake when cranking the engine to see if the engine will in fact run when it has enough fuel?

i just put filter in this morning and it is indeed facing right direction ....
also it turns on when i switch key to run position and squirts a little fuel sorry for my lingo i dont know much about vehicles just what little research ive done .....
i have not checked the pressure but when cleaner is sprayed it will start and run but shuts off as soon as you stop spraying

If the fuel system had full pressure, it wouldn't just squirt a little fuel when the key is turned to run, it would flow out like a small garden hose for about 1 second. You might want to check the voltage to the fuel pump when the key is first turned to run. You either have a weak pump, a restriction in the fuel line, a pressure regulator that is completely open (depending on how you're checking pressure now) or a low voltage condition to the pump.

Did you check the fuel pump relay and fuse?
