2007 envoy with common fuel level sensor problem

Hey guys my friend has the 2007 Envoy with the fual guage that has now all but quite working completly. Since this is a known common problem and i have read in this forum a thread that says there is a silent recall on this sensor, does anybody have a recall number or tech bulliten number i can use when i call the local dealer. I will try gm corp tomorrow but wont hold my breath, this vehicle has 50,000 miles and my friend is a single mom who would be hard pressed to come up with the huge price to repair this obviouse defect.. Can anybody help? I sure would like to get this resolved for her...Jack:)

There are no " silent" recalls, there are tech bulletins and special policy bulletins, This could be the gage or the tank unit you need a diagnosis first then check with ther dealer to see if there is anything that can be done.
