2000 740i sport and 2001-whats the difference

Hi, I've had my 728i for 5 years and have been very happy with it but now I can afford the insurance and petrol I want a 740i sport. After looking for and losing out on 3 51 plate 740i sports in as many months I'm starting to think about getting a 2000 model instead. The widescreen monitor is the most important thing. I've read conflicting things on forums. I know it's a straight swap but will I have use of ALL functions and buttons? If I would lose the info button (or whichever it is) what exactly do I have to do? New tv module?
Will it still be mk 3 sat nav?
Exactly what other difference's are there?
I'm raring to go so advice asap would be much appreciated!
