DRL not working

My DRL light is blinking and there is funny noise like a mini siren. Is this an inmdicator that the DRL module is malfunctionming? I unplugged the headlight and the siren goes off.

You have some bad solder connections on your DRL control module. It can be resolved just by resoldering the bad joints.

Here is a thread with some good information. The DRL control unit that need resoldered is on the drivers sde.
