Heyo! So as I'm slowly rebuilding my Chevelle, I've needed filler projects so i began working on a Shelby that I'm converting into a Hot Wheels toy my daughter has and I started my Favorite car ever in the whole wide world The '69 Chevy Camaro.(Expect many more of these sorry!:screwy:)
So I've been holding off on this model until i got an airbrush, which i finaly picked up the other day.I had started this and got a few steps in and said "NO not till i get the AB", threw that mother in the Brake Fluid and started over.
This is the Revell 69 Camaro-Baldwin Motion version as the title states lol.
Started with the Basic sanding and body Prep and shot my primer.

After Priming and waiting 3 days I filled some small holes and scratches Iv been letting that harden for a day now.
While waiting for that I moved on to the motor, painting and assembling.

nothing fancy there i have a scrap motor kicking around which i plan on attempting my first wiring job with as practice before apply that to this build.
Then i got bored, and decided to go balls out and try this next one without any prior practice and it seems to have worked out alright for me, Chopping the headrests and reattaching with pins. Lemme know how i did!

Adding the supports to the headrests is a great touch. Looking forward to more of this.

A blue for sure, but since iv just got the airbrush im still unsure of good Brands and as my local hobby store IS massive they don't stock alot of stuff for the car modeler, i'll have to order a lot online
but top of my list is some damn alclad cuz that stuff looks Key
Im using Testors Enamels but i want to get away from those as the "contains a chemical known in the state of California to cause cancer etc" kinda frightens me a little more when i airbrush with it:p
does tamiya sell acrylics in sets? or would i have to buy them individually?

I would wear a respirator with any paint.
Acrylic paint in your lungs isn't all that much better than enamel paint in your lungs!

Thanks for the comments everyone!
I do wear a respirator when i paint anyways but that warning has always bothered me lol
Small update finally have the body ready for paint(just need the color now hehe)
Can anyone recommend a good primer in a spray can? im using some stuff i picked up from Canadian tire which is an auto-body primer but it seems to get a bit of a skin texture when its dries.

Iv also been working on "deep-dishing" a pair of rims (sorry not sure of style or names lol) milliput drying on it since last night. Any hints on how to sand the outside of a "flat" style rim whilst keeping the circular shape?
Putting some hours in tonight more pics soon!
ps. sorry its just the body and seats right now everything else is still in a decision making mode for me right now
