The whole car is tight and slick, I think Newey hit it right again. He said more research went into this car than any before, and it's designed around the Michelin's

I'm in love with that car... If it's not going to deliver, I'll have all my caps and t-shirts for breakfast... :bloated:
That looks really sleek! Wow for the nose, but also the back end and the sidepots are completly different and a triangular air intake! good job Adrian!!
Can't wait to see the first test-run tomorrow :D

Where do you think the exhaust exits are? I think they are down low as always so the cowling could be as narrow and low as possible, and I don't see any heat shielding.

I think I read something saying they are moving back to the diffuser, like a few years ago.
Gorgeous car, btw...I hope it laps as well as it looks

Well you better get them out :).
"Alexander Wurz, who was behind the wheel of the new MP4-18, settled for the slowest time of the day, more than five seconds off the pace. However, McLaren officials were quick to say on Tuesday that they were not expecting to set any fast lap records at this week's test.
Wurz managed a total of 17 laps after developing a hydraulic problem with the new car. The Austrian is expected to be back behind the wheel of the 2003 chassis for the rest of the week while Coulthard and Raikkonen will continue development and setup work using the old car." - From TSN.ca
These times dont really mean anything and like the officals said, they werent expecting fast laps. By the way I like it, it looks sexy ;).

Hmm, if I'm not mistaken that is the first ugly car Newey has penned. Almost as ungainly as a Byrne design!
By todays standards it looks quite radical aerodynamicly, taking a very different approach to the current batch of Ferrari clones out there. By all reports it is just as revolutionary under the skin.
The damn thing had better be quick.

The nose reminds me of the design Newey used on the Leyton House.

Yes, agree. From some angles it does look like the old "raised noses" from the early nineties, that Newey pionered on the March/Leyton House. They've got regulations on the size of footboxes and things these days so Newey can't get as extreme as he did back then.
It looks like the two pylons holding the front wing are very short and long, very much against the grain of current thinking. Difficult to see for sure since it is all black there. And where the hell have they put the exhaust, is it in the diffuser or something clever?
