Flares

I thought I would offer to sell anyone who is interested flares that would be capable of handling a 10" wider track. I had these flares on the car that I bought and they came with a set of spares. The fiberglass work was pretty poor so I made some molds and made two sets for myself and two sets for my friend who also has a Panoz.
My cost is $125 CDN per flare and I would be happy to ship them to whomever is interested for that price plus shipping. I am not interested in making any money on this but I dont want to waste a lot of time either so I will have my fiberglass guy do one run of flares and then I will be done with it so if you want flares this will be the one and only time I do this which I think is fair.
Their are small dimples where the holes have to be drilled in the flares and then the flare can be bolted to the body much like the hood is bolted to the fenders. I have attached some pics for you to see.
You can contact me at [email protected].
My goal for my Panoz is to beat a 2011 Cup Car next year:)

will they work on a fibreglass car or they are just for the abs cars?

Not sure as they are for a Panoz GTS but my track is about 10" wider than a stock Panoz so you would need to change the offsets on your wheels as well. If you were not going to make the car wider then there would be no point to the flares.

I'll make an educated guess that they will work on either as I've seen no significant difference in the fender contours between my ABS car and my son's glas car when they were side by side. It will probably be easier to put them on the glas car since the materials are compatible and can be simply glassed together. Getting a good bond on ABS is trickier. The ABS car body parts tend to flex more and this could be hard on the joining line. I am seriously considering doing these flares and wheels once I get my stimulus check, but I still got to be able to get it in a trailer! It just looks so right and has got to really make it corner and brake. Cup car? We don't need no stinkn' cup car!:smokin:

I have about a quarter inch on either side of the rear fenders as clearance in my trailer. But I can also tell you that the wider track makes this car effortless in the corners. I had only one race at the end of the season in the unlimited class and finished 2 seconds behind the overall winner of that class. The car is about 1 second a lap slower than a 2010 Cup Car with a pro driver in it. That was also my first race weekend in the unlimited class so with a better driver it would likely be close. We are making a few changes for the new season and I should be able to go to to toe with the new 2011 Cup Car. A wider track and a bigger engine will take this car a long way. The guys that are doing my development are transam guys so for them its easy to make changes as their cars can do a 1:17 at Mosport and a 2010 Cup Car is doing a 1:23 on a hot lap with a pro driver. I think I can get her down to a 1:22 and that will likely be about it!
