Hi guys,
This is an awesome forum. It has helped me alot in trouble shooting my veichles. This is my first post, so bear with me.
I have a 99' Suburban and I need to change the positive cable bolt. I notice that the threaded portion of the bolt looks like a cap that is crimped to the main bolt. How do I remove this lower threaded section to replace the whole cable bolt?
Thank you in advance,
MNJet

this bolt in the battery cable is steel. the battery threads are soft lead. how is it that the steel stud is in need of replacement ?
never had to remove these studs from the cable ends.
I have to assume they will unscrew with some extra pull when rotating.
use the vice grip pliers.
